When relocating his family from Apple Creek, Ohio to Columbus in July 2007, Ray Raber established ER Autocare as a part-time venture. At first, they fixed everything, including tractors, semis, combines, and cars as well as lawnmowers. Word-of-mouth marketing helped the company expand swiftly, and by September 2008, it was operating at a high enough volume that his son Eric joined as a technician.
